Overview

• New players are Provisional until they complete 10 final Competitive matches.
• While provisional, the site can show No Rank / locked BEERLO instead of a public rank.
• Once ranked, your Competitive badge is selected by your BEERLO threshold.
• BEERLO starts at 1000, has a floor of 100, and each match delta is capped from -50 to +80.
• Ranks advance mostly every 50 BEERLO, with the final prestige jump from General to General of the Army at 2400.

How to Climb

• Win matches, but do not rely only on the win bonus.
• Stay alive and trade well: deaths hurt, opening deaths hurt more, and trade kills help.
• Do useful damage: ADR over 75 adds rating pressure upward.
• Play objectives: plants, defuses, and MVP rounds all matter.
• Avoid team damage/team kills: griefy or careless damage directly subtracts BEERLO.
• Finish your matches: abandonment penalties are applied separately and can pull BEERLO down.
